William Bennett serves as our Chief Executive Officer, and is responsible for Energesco Mechanical’s strategic and managerial oversight. In addition to his role at Energesco Mechanical, William is also CEO of our partner company, Energesco Solutions, a turnkey energy services company that designs and implements energy efficiency, water conservation and distributed power solutions to commercial and institutional clients. Prior to cofounding Energesco Mechanical and Energesco Solutions, William was a senior associate at the international law firm Hogan Lovells US LLP, where he practiced corporate and securities law in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office. Prior to his time at Hogan Lovells, William was an attorney at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in the Division of Corporation Finance. William is well versed in the federal securities law, capital formation, mergers and acquisitions, project finance, and corporate and regulatory matters. While in private practice, William represented several renewable energy companies, including a publicly traded solar panel manufacturer and a publicly traded biofuels company. William has also represented Fortune 500 public utilities. In addition, William served as outside legal counsel to two internationally recognized conservation focused non-profit organizations in the Washington, D.C. area. William has over 15 years of real estate investment experience. He received his BA from Rhodes College, JD/MBA from the University of South Carolina and LL.M from the Georgetown University Law Center.
Jamie Lang serves as our Chief Financial Officer. In his capacity as CFO, Jamie is responsible for financial, accounting and IT oversight. He also serves as CFO of Energesco Solutions, a partner company that focuses on energy efficiency and renewable energy solutions for commercial facilities. Jamie has a track record of success in the small business management arena, including driving the growth and profitability of a division of a company through over 400% growth in three years. He has managed several businesses as a finance/operations manager, several of which he co-founded and guided through start-up phases. Prior to Energesco Mechanical and Energesco Solutions Jamie served as the CFO of U.S. Restaurant Properties, a private real estate company focused on the purchase of triple net restaurant parcels. He graduated magna cum laude from Colorado State University with dual BS degrees in Zoology and Biological Sciences, as well as an MS in Operations and Technology Management from the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Business.
John Gallagher serves as our Chief Operating Officer and is responsible for overseeing our Service and Controls Division. John has over 16 years of mechanical and HVAC experience. Prior to his role at Energesco Mechanical, John performed mechanical contracting and consulting throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Gulf Coast regions. John has been a part of new construction, retrofitting, and servicing of varying styles of equipment and technologies including data center/precision cooling, chiller/boiler plants, VRF/VRF technology, and building automation systems. John is certified by a wide variety of manufacturers, including Daiken, Carrier, Mitsubishi and Trane. Having worked in some of the most demanding environmental conditions for very high profile customers, John has achieved a high standard for quality and performance. John has been responsible for the onsite performance of tradesman while directly interfacing with large portfolio owners, government agencies, architects, engineers, educational institutions, and operational/in-use facility management personnel. John’s priorities are to constantly provide the highest quality of service and solutions, staying involved with and educated on cutting edge mechanical technologies, being a teammate and partner of Energesco Mechanical’s clients, customers, and employees.
Kevin Jennings serves as a Senior Project Manager in our Construction Division. In this capacity, Kevin is responsible for overseeing multiple mechanical projects in the DMV region. With 20+ years of Project Management experience, Kevin has overseen projects ranging in size from $10,000 renovations to major out of the ground projects as large as $20M dollars for mechanical and plumbing installations. Before joining Energesco Mechanical, Kevin worked for several major mechanical contractors, including Fluor and Calvert Jones. While at Calvert Jones, Kevin was responsible for managing projects at the Inova Hospital complexes. His largest project was the Heart Institute at Fairfax Hospital. Kevin also worked for Inova Hospital in the Construction Management Division as a PM/Field Manager where he helped manage the construction and infrastructure issues that come with large healthcare facilities.
